PROBE ALL, OR APOLOGIZE TO ABACHAS

“In a nation as rich as Nigeria, in natural resources and human potential, everyone should be able to get high quality health care, a good education and first rate public services. It’s all a matter of priorities of the leaders we give roles to play here, and the attitudes of the followers; are we ready to ask questions about how we are led? If yes, then we should be ready to do unusual things and get things right. First of all let us remove tribal or class sentiments in everything we shall do here as Nigerians to tackle looters, only then can we get it done. But if you say, hey leave this man because he is a General or ex-soldier, or because he is my in-law or cousin, then we are not ready to do the needful. If President Buhari cannot probe the likes of IBB, OBASANJO, ABDULSALAM,DOGONYARO, DANJUMA etc, then I am of opinion that WE as a nation need to apologize to the ABACHA family for what we did to them, and trying to start the probe with the immediate past regime will look like vendetta, and is capable of causing more resentments among the various components of Nigeria. Our president must not spare anybody if he must probe, and he should start from 1971 to conduct the probe if he is sincere; we will be glad he does just that because we want those loots back here to fix our nation.”

WE HAVE A CHOICE

As a people we have a choice – you can be singing vain praise for a government that stand with the rich and powerful over the interests of ordinary Nigerian families. Or we can stand up for Nigerian’s rebirths, and support a government committed to fighting for the things that matter most to working and middle income Nigerian families.
Therefore, it is a blunder for anybody to tell us that there will be some sacred cows in carrying out the recovery of our loots. Our position is clear, “Mr. President should go after all who looted our treasury without exception”, and failure to do that will mean a gross disappointment for us, the people of Nigeria…

FOCUS ON THE PEOPLE’S PRIORITIES
We believe that it’s time that Nigeria’s prosperity, drawn from our shared natural resource wealth, worked for all Nigerians, not just a select few. Nigerians want practical and attainable commitments that are capable and would improve the lives of every citizen of this country irrespective of the person’s class or tribe.
Your immediate priorities, apart from fighting corruption, should be:

• Providing Quality Public Healthcare
• Delivering Affordable Electricity
• Helping Young Nigerians to succeed by giving them better educations and job opportunities
• Sustaining a Clean, Healthy Environment
Do these things and have the people with you more, failure to do them will be a national tragedy.
